BOOKING CONDITIONS

CONTRACT The contract for a short-term holiday rental shall be made between the client and Chapel View Farm, the contract will be entered into when Chapel View Farm issues the booking confirmation and will be subject to all the following conditions.

PAYMENT A non-returnable deposit of £100 is payable if the booking is made more than eight weeks before the start of the rental. The balance shall be payable eight weeks before the commencement of the rental. Non-payment of the balance of the rent on or before the due date shall be construed as a cancellation of the contract by the client. For bookings made less than eight weeks before the start of the rental the total fee is payable on sending the booking form. Cheques should be made payable to Ruth Huxley and sent to the address at the top of the booking form.

CANCELLATION Any cancellation made by the client for whatever reason shall be in writing and addressed to Ruth Huxley at the address at the top of the booking form. On receipt of notice of cancellation, Chapel View Farm will seek to re-let the property for the period of booking. If Chapel View Farm succeeds in re-letting the property for the whole period, it shall refund all the monies paid, less the £100 deposit. If Chapel View Farm only succeeds in re-letting the property for part of the period booked it shall refund an amount equal to the money paid less (1) the rental for the period that is not re-let and (2) the deposit of £100.  We strongly advise that you take out separate holiday cancellation insurance.

DEPOSIT In the event of a cancellation, all of the above terms shall apply. However, we will honour the £100 deposit if an alternative booking is made with a start date of no more than 6 calendar months from the start date of the original booking.  

PERIOD OF HIRE Rentals commence at 3.00 pm on the day of arrival and terminate at 10.30 am on the day of departure.

NUMBER OF PERSONS USING THE PROPERTY The number of persons occupying a property must not exceed a maximum number of 2. This would be either two adults or one adult and one child over the age of 10. The property is not suitable for children under the age of 10 years. Chapel View Farm reserves the right to refuse entry if these conditions are not observed.

COMPLAINTS Should there be any cause for complaint during the occupation of the property it must be notified at once to Chapel View Farm.

BREAKAGES OR DAMAGE We appreciate that accidents sometimes happen, but please report any breakages or damages to us as soon as practicable.  We reserve the right to charge for non-trivial damage how so ever caused.

CARE OF THE PROPERTY The client shall take all reasonable and proper care of the property and its furniture, pictures, fittings and effects in or on the property and leave them in the same state of repair and condition and in the same clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period as at the beginning. We may levy an additional cleaning charge if the property is not left in a clean and tidy state upon departure.  Smoking is not permitted at Chapel View Farm

DUTY OF CARE: The property is maintained to a very high standard. In the rare event of a breakdown in a particular service or item a repair/replacement shall be found/fitted within 24 hours where possible and within three working days at the maximum. Chapel View Farm cannot be held liable for any loss arising from loss of use of the service/item within the specified time limit.

PETS As a working farm, we regret no pets can be accepted

PERSONAL INJURY & LOSS OF CLIENT PROPERTY The client or members of his/her party cannot hold Chapel View Farm responsible for injury sustained or the loss or damage to any belongings during their stay at Chapel View Farm.

RIGHT OF ENTRY Chapel View Farm and/or its agents reserve the right to enter the property at any reasonable time, and with prior notice if possible, for purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.

RIGHT TO REFUSE Chapel View Farm reserves the right to refuse any booking and in exceptional circumstances, to cancel, modify or alter arrangements made for the client.
