When’s the best time to visit?

The answer is simple - whenever you like.  We are open all year and the Hayloft is fully centrally heated with easy to use controls that you can adjust to your own preference so you’ll always feel snug and warm here.

We provide plenty of fresh, dry towels and the bathroom is warm and cosy – perfect for recovering from outdoor pursuits in cold or wet weather.  There are also plenty of facilities for drying wet gear.

The cost of unlimited hot water and central heating is included in your rental.

As for Cornwall as a year-round destination, the county has far more to offer than its fabulous beaches in the summer sunshine.  In fact, many of Cornwall’s secrets are best discovered at other times of year.

Spring arrives early here and turns Cornwall into a gardener’s paradise.  Rhododendrons and camellias abound in Cornwall’s many beautiful and rightly famous gardens open to the public, but the hedgerows too are full of colour from March to June as a succession of spring flowers take their turn to bloom.  It’s a time to take advantage of the lengthening days too, and temperatures that can often be as pleasant as any summer’s day.

Autumn and winter can be the best time for activities such as whale and dolphin watching or bird watching and this is when you will find deserted beaches and coves. Few things can be more invigorating than breathing the fresh, clean, salty air on a bright day and watching the rollers break on the Atlantic shores to the North - perfect for a  pick-me-up to energise you through the winter.

Our experience tells us that guests enjoy their stay at the Hayloft no matter when they come.

And don’t forget, whatever time of year you choose, we are still completely flexible about your length of stay or day of arrival, subject to the minimum stay of 3 nights.
